1. Pound has ALL THE SAME AP offerings that any other Wise County School does, because they are offered over the VSEN network broadcast from Wise. How do I know this? BECAUSE I WAS IN ONE OF THEM - AP History to be exact.

2. We dont give a [censored] about what NOVA thinks about us or what they do in their worthless decadent school systems. If you like NOVA so much, pack your [censored] and get out of here. And we in Pound really dont care what people like you think about our school either. It's none of your business, your kids dont go there and its not in your town.

What do the residents of Pound have to show for their tax dollars? Pound has Foodland, The Dollar General, a carwash, a broken down footbridge, and a park that consists of a single small prefab play gym. They use the the old Christopher Gist High School as a town hall. I would prefer to see it used in a more academic sense (maybe even alongside the tow hall functions). A museum perhaps, education center, etc. But no. A town hall is all it is. There's no funding or desire to do more with it. Not a great sense of community there.

Idiocy. Obviously you've not been here in a while. We have a Subway, Pizza Plus, the Pixie, and a new catering place just went in. But its all back to the same point.. you dont live here so why should you care?


It all boils down to this.. if people from Pound, Appy, St. Paul, or wherever want to keep their school in their town, that is their business. People in Wise or Big Stone Gap have no business telling anyone in any other town how they should handle their own affairs.
